If each one is a separate question. Then the x is left by itself. The next one too. The next one has the same exponent so it, would be two x. One is the exponent. We do not write the one because that is the way it is. Then the next one is the second one and it will not need to be simplified. Okay I understand now. You cancel x plus two. then you cancel the x's and it will be one half.

First, cancel the (x+2)s. Now you have:

x/(2x), which reduces to 1/2.

When you divide ration expressions just multiply by the reciprocal...

x/(x + 2) * (x +2)/(x + x)

x + 2 factors cancel...

x/(x + x)

x/2x

1/2

(x/(x + 2))/(2x/(x+2))
this is the form of (a/b)/(c/d) = a/b * d/c
(x/(x + 2))/(2x/(x+2)) = (x / (x + 2)) * ((x + 2)/2x) = x/2x = 1/2
