I'm a 23 year old working undergrad. I did the stupidest thing this tuesday.. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. But my next menstrual cycle is not till april 13th... Some may say I worry too early... But I'm scared cause it is the 1st time I'm had unprotected sex... If I count my ovulation days, it would not be till 30th of March...Could someone please enlighten me on how great my possibility of being pregnant?

I think you have to be pregnant a while, like a week or two for it to turn up on a test. Your stressing can keep your period from coming.

Two years ago I was in the same situation you were. I had sex on a saturday night/sunday morning. I knew there was an oops and went to Planned Parenthood and got the morning after pill on that Monday afternoon. I now have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. I know this is not something you want to hear but the morning after pill isn't 100% effective either. Just wait it out. I figured the morning after pill worked in my situation but when I ended up being 13 days late I took a HPT. I didn't wait around long enough for the results and through it away because it read negative. When I still didn't get my period a couple days later I went back to PPH and it was there they told me I was pregnant.

In your case ovulation is not always predictable unless you use an ovulation kit and know exactly when you were most prone to get pregnant. I hope this helps. Just relax and try to keep your mind at ease. If you are that upset about it, try taking a HPT on the 10th-12th and maybe it will detect an early result or not. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Hi. The best time to get pregnant is between 7 - 10 days after your cycle. Have you thought about the morning after pill? I think you can get an early pregnancy test from about a week before your cycle. Hope this helps. Julieanne

I am sorry to say but you would not turn positive on a test yet. It is to soon. Check into the morning after pill I am not sure if it to late to take it or not. Unfortunately you can get pregnant anytime of the month you chances of getting pregnant are higher when you are ovulating. Good Luck.

I got pregnant from sex I had on my period.

Its unlikely, but you can get pregnant ANY day of your cycle. Just wait until you're due for your period to take a test.

try taking the morning afterpill. you can take it within 72hrs(3days) after having sex. Doesnt hurt to try, but you may want to look up the side effects for it too. IF your period doesnt show up take a pregnancy test. Best of luck

Go to the drug store and get a home pregnancy test kit. That way you'll know for sure if you are or are not going to have a baby.
