Very, very few people can hear 20 kHz.

Can you hear the whistle of TVs and monitors? If not then you cannot even hear up to 16kHz.

Most people can hear well below 20 Hz. I have listened to 6Hz in a lab setting.

the 20 to 20kHz taught is just nonsense.

frequency = speed /wavelength

wavelength = speed /frequency = 344/20000= 0.0172m
