I am sure extraterrestrial species exist somewhere, although they probably can't reach our planet just like we can't reach theirs and if they can, what would we have of interest that would make them want to communicate with us anyway?

If the chances of intelligent life evolving on a planet is 1 in 100 billion, count the number of stars, and then multiply that by the number of planets orbiting each star. If it were possible to do that, I think you will find that the chances are fairly good that intelligent life (aliens, as you call them) exists in other parts of the galaxy.

absolutely..the way I see it, it would be selfish to think we are the only life forms in the universe..think about it...the universe is endless and contains a countless number of galaxies and each galaxy contains a handful of planets and our galaxy is one of the smaller galaxies..what makes us think that there is nothing living out there except for here on earth which, compared to all the other galaxies, is small, and meaningless...I don't think aliens necassarily look like green men with big eyes who are telepathic but I'm sure there is something out there even if its just a planet full of microorganisms or a planet of animals..people argue the point of aliens vs. no aliens saying well they don't contact us..but why do we assume that if they are there they are superior to us and able to contact us...we don't know if they exist or how to find them so we can't contact them..maybe they are staring into there sky at night wondering if we exist! just my theory...

With the size of the universe, of course I believe there are other living creatures out there. As little green/gray men with big black eyes, no. Who knows what they're like. The most intelligent being in the universe could be a 10 foot long stick for all we know (that is, a stick that can think).

Aliens existing, yes, just through sheer probability. Aliens visiting Earth, no- and if they are, they aren't the ones responsible for all these UFO sightings and/or crop circles.

Well, the universe is very large. It seems logical that there must be some sort of life out there somewhere... I would also think that there must be other intelligent life out there somewhere. I don't think that we will ever come across intelligent life though - We may come across other life forms though - like single cell organisms.
