I was supposed to be born on September, yet I was born in August... not that I chose to... My mom had a C-section. So I am a Leo, as far as I know... but... shouldn't I be a Virgo? Does this affect the sign of a person somehow??? I've asked this question before, but gotten two very different answers... What's your opinion?

You sign comes from the day you popped (or in your case, dragged) out of your mother.

You are a Leo. The same thing happened to me. I was supposed to be born in late September which would have made me a Libra, but instead my mother had a c-section in mid September so I'm a Virgo. (And, believe me, I am a classic Virgo.) Fate brings you into the world whenever she feels like it's time to, whether that's through c-section or natural birth makes no difference.

You were meant to be a Leo, that is why your mom had the C section then. I don't know if there was a possibility that she could have waited until you were in the Virgo sign, but the day was chosen in August. It was the universe's way of how it was meant to be.

Your sign is Leo, like me, why would you want to be anything else? Especially a virgo? Anyway, its just a sign and means nothing, its for fun only. Not everyone born when we were has the same personality nor will we have the same kind of day.

You go by your actual birth day/time etc., the date given for your birth was an approximation, not a conclusive date, however your birth was conclusive, thus you are not Virgo you are Leo. However, you may find yourself with a few Virgo traits if you are close enough to the beginning of the Virgo sign...chart readings however are done using your August date of actual birth.

You were born when you were born... even without c-sections, there is no way to accurately predict when a baby will be born. Due dates are only educated guesses, not a train schedule. We use the birth data for an astrology chart, not the prediction date...

Regardlng the dissing of astrology above... science can't explain a lot of things... that doesn't mean they don't exist... Didja know we can't scientifically explain how a cat purrs? Does that mean the can't isn't really purring?

The way I see it yer a Leo cuz that's the day ya came in to this world. In September. If ya came into this world in August then you would be a Virgo.

everything happens for a reason.

you were born on a particular day, at a certain time becoz that is when the universe decided it was ur time to come into the world.

star signs are basically a representation of where certain stars were positioned in the sky at the time of your birth.

therefore, your sign is always going to be based on when you were born, regardless of when you were supposed to be born becoz conception and any other factor really has nothing to do with it.

Hi V -

Use the day you took your first breath. Yes, there was the day you were 'supposed' to arrive. Something brought you out earlier. . . you may actually have chosen to, but don't remember now. (If you study Shamanism, and our soul's journey, you'll grok that statement.)

If you get into the study of astrology - or visit a competent astrologer - you'll see the difference in the charts of your first-breath birthday and the one you were 'supposed' to arrive on. Perhaps the chart you are living now is much more suited to who you are.... giving you the life lessons your soul decided to experience and explore this time around.

Maluhia - peace

Who says you didnt choose the date to be born? There is a prevailing teaching or belief throughout the new age world, especially in the astrology world of mystery, that "souls" (human beings) absolutely choose the time and date and place to be born, that there's no accidents, no arbitrary decisions. in other words, the time and date of your birthdate is not a crap shoot. it wasnt your mom's decision about when you were to be born, it was "yours". now, i'm not saying that this line of thought is true or false, but it's worth considering when trying to understand the why's, where for's, and how comes?
