X Japan, while not currently an active band was a great visual shock group. Look for the CDs "Blue Blood" and "Jealousy". The DVD for "Blue Blood" is actually a collection of concert shots. I believe you can even find sample cuts online.

If you like def metal there' s a band that's been getting major raves. Worse Days Endure / or WDE. It's tight, chk it out. I heard them in Colo. Springs. They signed with Cold Coil Records. I don't exactly know where they're at on the www tho maybe my space or something. No time 2 look.
