I would defenitely not say he is the best, he has major potential to grow into one of the best ever, but currently he is not.
Don't get me wrong though, he is good, although he didnt contribute to his team statwise like some other rookies last year, his presence on the field alone affected the game. Alot of NFL analysist were talking about opposing teams setting up their defenses to stop Reggie which in turn led to alot of other holes in the defense allowing for great seasons by Deuce, Colston and Brees.
Being a big fan and stating your opinion, I understand where you are coming from. I think Tamba Hali is going to be one of the best Defensive Ends in the league years to come, and Derrick Johnson the best LB. I'm a KC fan and as a Chiefs fan i have that right to think my entire team is te best at their position. ALTHOUGH THEY ARE NOT!!! @$)*(%^&@$*(%

Think about this, What do you think would have happened if Reggie didnt have Duce on the team. Well let me tell you. he would have been so worn down by taking all those carries and hits that he wouldnt have been that productive later on in the season. Look at Cadillac Williams Last year, he was the leading rusher for the first 12 games they he wasnt even in the radar the last 4 games or so. Reggie is a great player but I don't think he would have been as elusive if he would have been getting the ball 75% of the time instead of 30%, dont get me wrong he is probably the BEST recieve back in the league, but overall as a Ladainian Tomlinson, Tiki Barber, Larry Johnson, Reggie will not be that caliber of Back, he is a great Third Down back and a great Wing Back (recieving back) but an every down back he is not. Atleast not right now.

It's not wrong to like Reggie Bush. But you'll take flack for making claims that he's the best player. He certainly wasn't the best player last year and it's too early to tell if he'll be the best player in the league. He's not an every down back so he's not even the best RB in the league.

Reggie is good but he's like a receiver mostly than he runs against teams. on the other hand, look at Maurice Jones-Drew from Jaguars, hes only 5-7, but weigh 212lbs. His first year he rushed for 941yards and 13TD's, that's almost a thousand. What second string running back does that under a starter like Fred Taylor who had 1,146 rushing yards. he was the second string running back. He caught 46 passess for 436yards and two TD's. DO U STILL THINK REGGIE BUSH IS BEST??????

He is a good player and he has the potential to be in the HOF but he is far from the best player in the NFL at this moment. Sure he had a great rookie season but it was not as memorable as some of the others that was had this year. Plus that is completly disrespectful to a guy like L.T. who had a great year. I dont think people should make fun of him because yeah he has some growing up to do but he isnt the one going out getting arrested every weak. He isnt the one ruining his entire team over night, the point is their are other guys that can and should be made fun of. Most of them are probably Bears fans that are still mad that he taunted Urlacher. Like I said he has some growing up to do but sheesh get over it, the Bears won that game.

That's who you like and a fan of. i respect but he is not the best player on offense. LJ, LT, Frank Gore, and many RBs did better than him. Vince Young did better than him even though Bush had a better team. Bush is not even the best one on his team, that's why hes a 2nd string RB, he backups Deuce McAllister, with a good coach like Payton made it possible to made deuce succeed in running while Bush did it better than in the passing game. If he was on a team where he was the main back, he would rush over 1000 and around 600 receiving yards. He would be top 10 RB in the league but right now he isnt when hes the 2nd string on the depth chart and get more handoffs.

Because Reggie doesn't play for their team would be my best guess, the same is true for Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, Larry Johnson, ect..... I'm not a fan of Reggie simply because he's in the same division as my team, but I respect the guy and wish the best for him...but to say he's the best player in the NFL is slightly premature. He has the athletic ability to be the best one day, but he still has some to learn about the game before he's even on the level of LT before we can say he's the best.

Alot of ppl like Reggie Bush - but most of them arent nearly as ill informed w/ such horrible judgement as you are about him. He is not the best football player in the game not even close. He is actually not that great of a RB, if he switched to WR he would be "great" but if he continues his path at RB he will never be that successful. He wasnt even the best RB on his own team (Deuce McAllister)......

It is a bit odd that you would say that. But I admire your obsession to a favorite player. Reminds me of the guys with a man crush on Brady. However, like I said in the other question, you are smoking crack if you think he is the best player in the NFL.
Without a doubt, that honor goes to The LT.
Sorry, just reality.

I don't think that you can have one season and immediatly say that he is the best player. He is good but definately not the best, wait two or three seasons to hive him that title. As for the best currently, I would say Brett Favre because he has broken most of Marinos records and will take the rest after this next season. Not to mention that he's been playing for 17 years.
