I actually find Sanjaya very entertaining and I am a str8 27 year old male. I know that he is not as good as Chris Sly, but he is entertaining. The fact of this show is that the winner is what matters, Chris S. had no chance of winning the show...so why is everyone getting upset about this? Sanjaya is very entertaining, I was laughing so hard when he came out with that fro-hawk.
As for all you people out there supporting votefortheworst.com. This whole principle is flawed and only helping American Idol and Fox. The Sanjaya drama is actually going to help ratings. People are now tuning in just to see if Sanjaya will last another week. Even if these anti-AI people are helping Sanjaya, they are going to increase the popularity of the show! Sanjaya will not win...even if he gets down to the final 2 or 3, the majority of AI watchers votes will keep the show valid, but eliminating Sanjaya.

I don't understand. He and Haley are just not great singers. Melinda, Phil, and Jordin know what they're doing, but it isn't a fair competition with Haley and Sanjaya. I believe they're in because of looks, not because of their voices. I could be wrong, people may love the way they sing. ? I'm sure they do pretty good at home or whatever, but I'm not so sure they're cut out for the big stage. In my personal opinion, Haley and Sanjaya should have gotten booted before Brandon or Chris. Those guys really are great singers!

All I can figure is that its the young preteen/teen girls..like 11-13 years of age. Sanjaya has a Robbie Benson or Micheal Jackson (before his surgery's and strangeness) about him. That cute, soft spoken quality. That is who I think is voting for him. Most girls that age have cell phones these days.
