California State University Northridge does offer majors in Deaf education. It has the largest center on Deafness on the west coast.

http://www.csun.edu/%7Esch_educ/dfst/index.html (Department of Deaf studies) on that page, there is a link to Boston University that also has Deaf studies.

Hope that helps!

Cal State Northridge has an excellent program which is well-established and respected in the deaf community. If you are a California resident, the price for tuition and fees is very reasonable; much cheaper than Gallaudet
