First thing how long has it been since you had an oil change??
If an oil filter clogs up there is a bypass in the oil pump and filter system that by passes the oil but the light will come on due to pressure as a built in fail safe warning..
when you change the oil go to a straigh grade thick oil like 50 weight... it will cushion the bearings and add a little oil pressure
Second if changing the oil filter & oil change didn't entirely resolve the problem ...
Your crankshaft bearings which are the first in line to recieve oil from the oil pump are worn out ...
the bottom end of your engine needs rebuilt

could be a bad sensor, bad oil pump. Someone needs to hook up a mechanical gauge and check the pressure, or next time its a little low on oil, add some Marvel Mystery Oil ( found at any auto part store) ad top it off with that. That will increase the thickness of you oil.

As was said, recheck your oil level. If the light continues to come on its one of two things, a bad pressure sensor or a bad oil pump. You should get the car looked at immediately if the oil is full and it still does it, if the oil pump is failing you might save yourself from a completely ruined engine. And if you have a waranty left don't tell them it was low on oil or they'll void your waranty on the motor. If its just the pressure sensor its not too bad, probably 150 bucks tops unless the sensor is really hard to replace, if not the oil pump is going to be expensive.

Sorry but it sounds like your engine bearings are shot from running out of oil the first time... assuming you still have enough oil.
You could try 50 weight oil but the top end of your engine will suffer from that selection. People like to euphorically say to try a new pump, but that is gonna cost a bunch of labor, and you will probably end up rebuilding or replacing the engine anyway.

If you mean your red oil pressure warning light on your dash is still coming on at idle even though your oil dipstick shows full, then you need to have a shop actually measure your engine oil pressure with a shop oil pressure gauge. The technician hooks the gauge directly to your engine. Then you will know whether your oil pressure sensor and light indication is correct or not.

The problem is that when you drove it while it was low on oil you wore out the crank bearings, so now the oil pump can't supply enough oil at idle to keep the prerssure up.

Did you wait till the engine was cool to check the level to see if you added enough oil?
IS there a leak?
