The living room t.v. has "the little mermaid" on DVD playing. My bedroom has the Doodlebops. Play room has Sesame Street...

There's only 2 kids here...

And they're also wanting me to play Fisher Price games with them on the computer. I drew the line at that one..

Ok, parent face the facts . It got taken over as soon as you got tired of struggling and turned into a wimp. You don't have much time in life when you have little ones to teach them rules and what is allowed etc. The bigger they get , the more they twist away from you and the louder they protest when they don't get their way . Just wait what happens when they demand the car keys .
Take that darn idiot box away from them and go for a walk .There should be just one TV allowed and only as a reward not as a regular fare . They are over saturated with entertainment .
And while you're at it, throw the sugared drinks out off the fridge and get healthy snacks .
No, I am not sour grapes, only a mom who drew the line early who is glad today with two grown adult kids with good teeth . LOL

I am the same way. I end up sitting in bed to watch TV bec my daughter takes over the living room and I dont have a play/family room. (Pray for me to get a bigger house before I lose my mind! lol) Then my 2 older boys come home and its more crap like video games and coloring/ cutting paper and making a mess all day long. + my house looks like a tornado ran through it, God forbid any of the three clean up after themselves! GRRRRR.

Sounds like my life when I am babysitting at my daughters. At home the household surrounds around the whims of a long nosed, 40lb, fuzzball named, Bud.

PS "We" are off the Doodlebops right now but unfortunately they have been replaced with (gasp and ugh) Barney.

That depends on how old your kids are. My house has been like that for nine years. Mine are 9, 5, and 3. Good luck doing what you want.
