All three are pretty good laptops.
I have used all three and never had any problems with any of them. If had to pick one, Dell for their 3 year warranty, the others have only a 1 year warranty

well dell is cheap, unless you are getting the xps systems for gaming and graphics design. They are not bad systems. I have the dell xps 1710 laptop and i love it!

Sony is ok but i think they are over priced because it is sony, and belive that allot of there computers could be cheaper. How ever they look very nice and usually are very space savers and such.

Toshiba, i think are one of the best "Office" laptops you can get. I know there upperlines and such are very high class but are all a little exspensive. I used to have a toshiba satalite laptop and it rocked. And there prices are actually coming down a great deal in the last few years.

How ever it is all what you want to do with it. Usually dell is the cheapest, and they usually have good deals like free shipping and free upgrades to memory or cd drives etc. So i would say if you are just buying it for proccessing and e-mail and stuff either go for a lower made toshiba or a basic dell. If you want it for gaming and such get the dell xps, and if you want it for looks then get a sony.

there is no correct answer. depends on whats inside. I owned a dell and i didnt find it all that great and the customer service at dell is ****. Toshiba...well.....toshiba is good quality. The laptops are durable(my lil sis dropped it off the kitchen table) and it works fine still, hardly a scratch. My dad has a sony Vaio and he loves it. And their customer service is great. My dad spilled broke the screen and they replaced it right away.

You can get a "lemon" from any manufacturer at any time -- it's the "luck of the draw." In my opinion, good support is as important as the price.

I have two Dells, a 2400 and a 3000 and am very happy with them, however, I have had recent experience with my HP printer and found HP's support to be very good. Received a response to my request in a couple of hours, and they e-mailed me later to see if my problem was solved. When I need to update or replace one of my PCs, I will seriously consider HP.

Dell, not the cheap bottom of the line model. Better yet is one you build yourself.

All three have the same basic problem: Windows and its many viruses and compatibility issues.
Avoid them all. Get a Mac.
