I'm starting to get ticked off with the constant Kobe Bashing and people saying Kobe isn't even in MJ's League, if that's the case then Why out of so many people in the League Past & Present, that Kobe Bryant is compared to Michael more than any other Player to Jordan.

Now don't confuse My words I'm not saying Kobe's Better Than MJ But I certainly think he's not too far, In fact he's the closet thing to Jordan than anyone else. But I seriously think the world has built Up Jordan to such a high status that they Can't and won't except anyone else to surpass him and dethrone "his Airness" it's just a fact Jordan has been Branded into People's minds and he's never going to come Second and no one will ever put anyone above Jordan, because of what he's done in the past and I guess some people feel threatned when they say Kobe is the next Jordan or Kobe is better than Jordan.
For Kobe bryant to constantly be compared to "The Greatest Player of all time" he must be doing something right?

Because people are hating on Kobe. They don't like him and will never admit how great he really is. I believe in my mind he gets compared to Jordan rightfully so. He is as good a player as Jordan was. Give credit where credit is due people and quit acting like children poutin every time you see Kobe put up huge numbers.

THE BIG SHOT- Your stuck in the old days. There may be a rule against hand-checking but watch a game and you'll still see hand-checking everywhere. Jordan didn't only play against the Pistons and the Knicks either. The biggest difference in the game today and the game of yesteryear is passion. The older guys did have more passion. As far as Kobe goes, he does have passion and its visible when he plays.

JOHN RENUS G - Jordan averaged 22.8 shot attempts per game in his career. Kobe averages 18.6 per game. Therefore I believe Jordan shot more than Kobe shoots. Get your mind right and then holla back.

I believe in sports people tend to try and create a universal idea of the best player ever and then base every other player which fills the build or even has comparitive abilities of of that individual. Kobe Bryant is a gifted athlete, and as far as being a pure scorer he's up there with MJ. But basketball is more than scoring and Kobe falls short in a few categories Michael Jordan succeeded in. Kobe is where Michael Jordan was between 1985-1989. Carrying a team on their back and into the playoffs to get polished off but a far better team oriented team. Kobe had Shaq early in his career and I attribute those Titles largely to having a 7 foot 350 lb monster in his prime bullying defenses. But now he has to try to lead a team by himself and do what Michael Jordan did to create his legacy. Kobe is a great scorer, and he can win games against fair to mediocre teams with his scoring outburst. But unless he is able to make players around him better... he'll watch helplessly as a better all around team shuts him down in the playoffs and watches his team collapse.

Kobe had foremost position gamers on his workforce much more than Jordan did with the bulls. There are not able to be a assessment among Jordan and Kobe on account that Kobe has the likeness of MJ however to mention he's larger is an overstatement. No man or woman that is aware of even somewhat bit approximately basketball is aware of that Kobe is well however he has now not made MJ repute but.

Kobe is being compared to Jordan because of his scoring in recent seasons. There is no comparison. The rules are different. Jordan played in an era in which Bill Laimbeer was clotheslining him on drives to the basket and Isiah Thomas was trying to step on his feet when he was beaten to the basket. I can tell that you are young. You never saw the beating that Jordan took in the playoffs against the Pistons in his early years. Jordan played in an era of the Bad Boys of Detroit and also in an era in which Pat Riley tried to use thug and mug techniques on defense to slow down the game with the Knicks. Jordan still scored and dominated in this era when handchecking was allowed.

Kobe plays in an era where handchecking is illegal. He never went on these scoring binges before the rule change. The offensive oriented players are protected. This explains the increase in scoring and rise of teams such as the Suns. Jordan would have dominated in this era.

Jordan had a drive to win and compete like no other athlete. Kobe lacks that drive. Jordan's teammates not only respected him, but they feared him. Kobe doesn't have that respect. His teammates won't lay it on the line and play for him.

Kobe only won with the best dominant big man of our era and one of the best ever in Shaq. Jordan won with two different supporting casts. Sure, he had the overrated Pippen. Pippen couldn't win without Jordan. Pippen couldn't win when paird with the great players in Portland or when playing with Akeem and Sir Charles. So don't give me that Pippen line. Pippen's the luckiest guy in history...right place right time.

Michael Jordan in his prime WAS better, but not by a whole lot. Michael integrated his game with his teammates a whole lot better than Kobe does. Michael was a better passer and defender. They're roughly even as far as scoring. It really doesn't matter I think

LOL, Bill Laimbeer might have clotheslined Scottie Pippen when Pippen drove to the basket, but NO ONE was ever clotheslining Jordan. They would have been banned for the league for life had they knocked Jordan off balance, let along knocking him to the ground.

Show me any video of Jordan ever getting clotheslined...where is it? Someone post it on youtube or something, and show me the link.

Yes, the Pistons tried to play Jordan physically, but they never even tought about clotheslining him... they knew they'd be suspended for a year for a first offense.

If anyone has a link to video of Jordan getting clotheslined by Laimbeer, I'd be glad to check out the link.

Jordan was considered "the best" purely because of marketing. Yes, he had incredible skills, but this GOAT business is pure ESPN marketing. ESPN is geared to a jr. high level audience in terms of intelligence and attention span.

Kobe maybe as good a player as M.J. but he is very selfish.
M.J. took less pay so his team could get better players.Kobe only cares about the team when it dosent interfere with Kobe, but he would be fine if the game was one on one.

He gets compared to Jordan because he copies EVERYTHING about Jordan! His jump shot, his on court demeanor, the way he talks, the way he walks, his mannerisms, the way he conducts himself during interviews. The guy is so fake! How can you make it so blatantly obvious you're imitating someone and pretend to be oblivious about it? This guy cares more about his image and looking good more than he does winning. He's a great player but he is not who he portrays himself to be!

I REALLY dislike Kobe, but he's not as good as Jordan, he's BETTER. There was a lot more hype about Jordan that what his actual numbers really show when compared to some modern-day basketball stars.

Simply Because other people are not satisfied... like me!!! they think that kobe is greater but they are wrong... MJ is great motivator for his team mates than kobe... instead of motivating them kobe is blaming them when they are losing... kobe is taking more field goals attemps than mj.. so it means he seldomly ASSIST than jordan...
