she was 17. i need a song to sing in church in memory of her. it can't be a hymn just a modern song that would sound good with harmonies. just a song that would relate to the situation. THANKS!!

Two songs that touched me when someone I loved had died were "In My Life" by the Beatles and "Just Remember I Love You" by Firefall. Both are beautiful songs and work well for harmony singing.

Of the suggestions above, I really like "Tears in Heaven," "Angel," "I Will Remember You" and "Time of Your Life." Great choices.

A good song would be a lesser known ballad by former Pop singer, Pebbles, called "Angel" which is on her "Greatest Hits" album released in 2000. "Angel" is from her third album, "Straight From The Heart" released on MCA Records in 1995. Another good song would be Diana Ross-"Missing You" a hit single from her 1984 album, "Swept Away." That song is also a ballad. Peace.

f_jayce selected the two songs i would have reccommended to you ... Wendy Mathew's song was one I considered to request being played at my Grandmother's funeral .. ( I settled on Wind Beneath My Wings though .. as THAT was what Nan was)...

Good luck, i wish you peace, death is always hard to deal with, particularly when its one so young. Take time to greive, and allow yourself as much time as you need before you restart your daily activities.

How do I live by Leeane Rymes. I heard that song on the radio when I was on my way to the hospital when my grandfather passed. It really touched me and is a really special song.

when my brother died young I played "angel" by sarah mclaughlan. It is the most amazing song and the lyrics are perfect for someone who died young. also "i will remember you" by sarah mclaughlan is beautiful and relevant too. I am so sorry to hear about your loss
