I've a WLAN enabled HP dv6226tx Notebook. Can i connect this notebook with another notebook (same model) ?

I tried setting up a network in one PC and searched with the other and got connected to first one's network.But if i ping the first with second(or vice versa), i'm not able to.... If i go to network & sharing and if i double click the first n/w i'm getting cannot connect to msg...

PS: I'm using Vista...I've not connected any device with my laptop (transmitter or somethin of that sort)

The first thing you want to do is go to network center and goto the wireless connection and set it up for a Ad-Hoc network, not a infrastructure network.

Do this on both computers and make sure they have different IP addresses, like 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2.
