i want to know about organisations working for environment on a smaller scale in india.n those things which actually any normal person can work and give time from their routine.

I am going to take a stab for the obvious here, Hindu. The entire religion does not believe in the killing of any animals, ever. The idea for them is that after death we are reincarnated, we are brought back to life, either in a new improved life form or in a life form that is lower than where we started. It's all based on how well we did where we are now. If one of our brothers or sisters, mom or dad didn't do too well, then they could come back as a cow or a monkey, let's say, so we wouldn't want to kill and eat them.
