I have a asus p5vd2-mx mobo, windows has auto installed some audio drivers but the sound isnt working and when I go to update the drivers with the mobo disk it says the audio files do not support your computer hardware. please help?

Goto asus tech support website and download latest drivers for your audio card. install / reboot / enjoy!

Your are trying to install the wrong drivers.
All audio drivers for that model board are here :
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5VD2-MX&SLanguage=en-us

Choose the correct one for your version of Windows.

Hi maybe your mother board did not download properly can u try reformat ur window and download audio drivers again.
