Although not a healthy or fulfilling relationship it has happened to me. I am one of those people that believe that sex is not necessarily restricted to one end of the spectrum or the other, and I find I can enjoy sex with either gender. I do believe in monogamy when in a relationship. One of the problems I see with this whole set up is that when I do have desires for same sex relations I find myself trapped because I would never do anything to hurt someone I am already in a relationship with.

I think that it happened to me in 1998. I was overseas and I met an Australian girl named Trista. She helped me out when I was out of money at the beginning. When I got on my feet I paid her back and bought her a dozen roses. We became great friends, kissed during a truth or dare game, then just got to know each other. It did not become physical love, but I took her to the airport when she left. We made out for awhile before we both cried when she had to get on the plane. (Trite, and yes I cried, but it was very sad) Kept in touch with her a year after that, but I know in my heart I will always be attracted to men. She will just always have a special place in my heart.

The closest thing I've ever come to being attracted to the opposite sex is petting my cat.

Nopes, the love has been purely platonic with the opposite sex. If I fell in love with a girl, heck, I'd no longer be gay! How sad is that :-((

It was not true love in the sense that I was compelled to share all of my being with her. But I did care for her and want to make her happy. But it did not fulfill me. It was the classic, "It's not you, it's me" situation.
