Some people think it is R&B and Rap but it is not. That is just what is the most saturated on TV. The most popular music in the US has always and always will be rock and metal music. It always outlives all the fads, the trends, the American Idols, the grunge, the punk, house, r&b, rave, William Hung, Billy Ray Cyrus, Pop princesses, Pop princes, boy bands, girl bands, head shaving looney, panty less idiot Britney Spears, etc...rock and the Metal are always there and always will be. real music played by actual musicians - you can't beat it.

I would go with Adult Alternative such as Nickelback. But, then again, I wouldn't really know considering I don't listen to that genre.

It varies greatly from region to region, but where I am in the southeast unfortunately the biggest thing is country. Where I'm from (New England) the biggest was Rock. :D
