A 52.0 µF capacitor is connected to a 52.0 resistor and a generator whose rms output is 30.0 V at 60.0 Hz. Find the following values.

(a) The rms current in the circuit.
Irms = A

(b) The rms voltage drop across the resistor.
VR, rms = V

(c) The rms voltage drop across the capacitor.
VC, rms = V

(d) The phase angle for the circuit.

You can calculate the resistance of C by Rc= 1/(2*pi*f*C) and that equals 51 ohms.
a) Then the rms current = 30V / (52+51)= 0.291 mA

b) Voltage drop = 51*0.291=14.84 V

c)Phase angle = arctan(51/52)= 44.4 degree

I agree with Gene. This is simple. Read your damn book and get off the internet. Your MySpace and Answers can wait. Tired of ohms law questions......

Answers might be here when you get a job, but isn't it going to be embarrassing to have to look up answers to figure out a problem at work?

Looks like an easy homework. You'd better get started on it.
