Where can i download free antivirus software?

My system is getting shutdown 10 mins after logged in internet.
I need a good antivirus for internet usage( free download)
plsss suggest

Use AVG 7.5 (Grisoft) - it's good antivirus and free for home computer use.

Also get yourself some good antispyware stuff. Spybot or Lavasoft Adaware or something.

You might try this one its Kasperski based (which currently rates very high)
