if someone insults you personally with their answer do you?

1. leave a snotty answer back telling them what you think.
2.ignore them.
3.give them a violation.
im only asking because i was personally insulted by name and i told them i didnt like it, and i got my first violation because they didnt like it and took offence. go figure.

People will be people =D. It would be better if it wasn't through the internet and you knew them personally, cause you could like, set their house on fire or something =P. I know it sounds awful, but it helps me sleep at night =).

Sometimes it is best to ignore them, but if you have the vocabulary for it (a Webster's Unabridged Dictionary is sooooo useful), then a carefully thought out and worded return of insult can be a lot of fun.

To be able to discuss an individual's ancestry, manners, morals, personal habits and probable destination without using a single word that would cause Queen Victoria to blush is a definite asset.

One of my personal favorites is the following: His/Her antecedents are composed almost exclusively of representatives of the porcine and ophidian groups of God's creatures.

Or: It's such a pity that his/her societal background precluded the notion of formalized relations between genders. Perhaps someone here knows of a way to obtain legalization of this individual's genetic heritage?

Of course, if you haven't the time for this fun and games, then just ignore the petty jabs of those whose educational opportunities were so obviously egregiously wasted.

If it is on here I would just ignore it. Some people do that sort of thing just to get a rise out of you. Don't give them the satisfaction.

I'd let them know how I feel and try to get into some banter - then I'd get them a violation if it was serious enough

and this is the main difference between men and women.
someone says your hands are big and you wont come out the house for two months with worry. get thicker skin . my Mrs. calls me worse than that and that's when I'm in the good books :-)

I ignore them. People like that are looking for a reaction, so I think it frustrates them if they don't get one.
