Hmm.. interesting case ;)
May be you think that there was no mutual friend but inreality there is someone who told accidently to that person your birthday.
Or one has gotten hold of some document which helped in getting to this date.And secondly may be got a glance on something you got. e.g. a card pasted on your desk.etc
And one more thing Happy belated birthday :)
