Just say so what? Who cares, what they think? and don’t let Negative Judgments hold you back, We live every day with imagination. Worry is a form of imagination. Here we throw on the screen of the mind past failures, which inhibit us in our daily tasks of the present. When we are happy, we throw on the screen of the mind past successes, which give us the confidence we exercise in the daily tasks for the present. A good impulse is nothing more than imagination that seeks action to improve the self-image. Good luck!!!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with feeling good about the way you look. Vanity enters into it when someone is constantly talking about how good they look, and they can never avoid a mirror. You don't have to hide any more.

There is a psychological condition known as Narcissistic personality disorder.
This is when someone believes themselves to be better than others and craves attention. Every one has to have some value of their own worth, but this condition manifests itself as a contempt for others who are not seen as worthy, or who are not seen as being any use to the Narcissist. they have a lack of empathy for any one Else's feelings, and only see people as being of any use if they are prepared to provide the Narcissist with Narcissistic supply (ie talk about them all the time).
A Narcissist hates not being thought about, they would sooner be hated than being ignored.

Theres nothing wrong in loving yourself,it makes it possible to love others that way as well...Vanity only comes in to play if you allow it to,otherwise they are two separate entities...Having self confidence
is often misconstrued for ego mania, but it shouldn't deter any personal standards you have for yourself..It is a great trait to have..

Id say self confidence is believing in yourself whereas vanity is excessive belief in yourself whereby no-one comes close to how great you are so your sort of obsessed by being better. (if that makes any sense at all)!
Whatever the fine line is, dont listen to whoever said you "love yourself" - if we dont believe in ourselves how can we expect others too?!

IMHO - self confidence means that you don't look to others for acceptance. You are comfortable with who/what and how you look, and don't need your peers acknowledgement to know who you are.
Vanity means that you idolize yourself.. everything you do is to show the world that you are 'it'. IOW, you do it for others.
