Im personally a fan of Blue. Blue were a successful English boy band similar to other boybands such as A1 consisting of four members: Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe. Together the band sold over 11 million records. Currently all the members of the band have gone to pursue solo careers.

Th beatles, ok so we appreciate them for some of the lyrics and classic songs today, but bck in their day it was all about the screaming girls!!! and the one thing u need to be a real boyband is a gaggle of screaming girls....and the beatles were the first band to have this in a really big crazy way, and consequently they probs had the biggest mob following of scremaing girls around the world as it was av new phenommen, nowadays theres soo many boybands and males singers liked lets face it merely fr looks as oppose to musical genius so the adoration is more shared out.

Th beatles set the precedent for the following a boyband needs to have, and they were trendy and good looking for their day, in a way tht many boybands today arent, today theyre targeted at 10 yr olds lol...

If by 'boy band' you mean a manufactured band, then it has to be the first and the best - "The Monkees."

If you just mean a band with boys - "The Smiths" "The Clash" or "The Rolling Stones" ....

Has to be Take That! They've proved they can stand the test of time with both their music and their looks (well Gary's a bit rough round the edges now, but he always was really!)

And Howard is FIT !!!

one of the first and certainly the best - The Beatles, I wonder if the boybands of today will still be selling records in 40 years time.
