How do i activate my standby button? if i go to turn off my computer turn off button & restart button is activate but standby button is inactivate. if there is some system file are missing tell me the solution how to activate that standby button.

Try going into the power settings in control panel. Open the Hibernate tab, and you need to select the checkbox next to Activate Hibernate option.

After that, when you log off, press shift key and log off. See if this helps. I'm no systems expert, but this works for me. This was told to me by a systems expert.

Well you have to setup a few things for this to work.

Note you have to have Fast User Switching turned on for this too work in XP. Just go to the Control panel, User Management, Pick, Change the way Users Log On, select Use Fast User Switching.
The reason is you want to leave programs running when you go to Hibernate or standby so the Fast User Switching has to be on.
