I feel no current player should be in the team. Its not matter whether they perform well or not but given a situation where experience matter and they fail to perform then what the use of keeping them in the team.

How can someone say that Ganguly is responsible for India's poor performance? His strike rate is poor but he is the second highest scorer for India. Only great strike rate will not do. Even against Bangladesh they could not play 50 overs.
Ganguly has come back only by his good performance and he is the most consistent player. He should of course stay.
If all the senior players are left out, where are the substitutes? Chappel's young players policy is a failure.

Sschin shouldnt be in the team. Ganguly should be there in the team for a while. Because sachin is not reliable at crutial times. It is evident from the statistics that he has not scored more than 10 at crutial matches. (like india's latest world cup match against srilanka). ganguly has come back to the team under pure merit and still he has proved to be a prominent contributor to the team.

Both of them are not required for Indian ODI team now considering their performance & what they could do further...

Now ODI has become a speed & tempo in each moment, Just watch other teams performs, Australia has crossed 300 mark 6 times continously, electric movements in the field, that type of performance we can never expect from Ganguly & Sachin, possibly they could do something more in test matches, if necessary...

Saurav Ganguly should not stay in Indian Cricket Team because he is the only responsible person for poor performance of India in World Cup 2007 (West Indies).
Sachin Tendulkar should stay in Indian Cricket Team for 1 or 2 more years and as a Captain so that he can lead the team and develop team for next World Cup.

Sachin should realize that he is finished and he should retire with some grace, while cricket is still left in Ganguly.

Ganguly should stay. At least he has performed well for the first two matches. But Sachin I don't think.

sachin does'nt play, well for 2 matches u guys want him to go out of the team, what are other guys doing in the team, see sachin has played well for 18 years now, just think what he must be going through now, last world cup we reached the final only because of sachin, and if he does not play well,we dont do that well.so its going to be stupid if we take him out of the team.give some respect to the greatest batsman ever in the world, and if u want to know, why we did not do that well in the world cup, bacause of DRAVID'S captaincy,my girl friend will do better captaincy in the world!SACHIN has an avf of 44.52 i nthe last 20 mathches,so speak for yourself, you moreon

No, not only these two rather all players above 30 of present team should be sacked for good future. No old player should be retained only to be retired after 2 years leaving a void shortly afterwards again. Even Laxman should not be considered.
