Go and see your OB/GYN and discuss your problems and the fact that you want to get pregnant. Most OB/Gyn Dr.'s can check for any abnormal hormone levels and help you get back to a regular cycle. Also, most also routinely deal with fertility issues.

Keep a diary of your menstrual cycle so that you can share it with him.

Let him know your medical history, family history, any conditions you have and all medications you take - even over the counter or herbal or supplements. Don't leave out any information, even if you feel it is embarrassing to talk about it. That is what he is there for.

I often find it helpful to write down my questions and problems before I go into the Dr.'s office. That way, you can make sure you cover everything you want to cover. Also, take notes or someone else with you to help you listen and remember all the information he gives you and any instructions.

I would recommend having a visit with an endocrinologist because they can better tell you what is going on with your thyroid by doing the entire panel of blood tests (there are 7 of them).
