I have a PC (P4 2.6ghz) with windows98 Os. I have installed two nics on the machine.one for LAN. Another one for Connecting remote pc through ISDN Router. If the machine is
just re-started everything on the network is normal. After few hours, not able to connect to the Remote pc through ISDN Router.If i ping the remote pc ,TTL Expired in trasit error occured.Again i restarted the pc , every thing on the network is normal.After few minutes the same pblm occured.

LAN NIC - 50.0.0.51 - with Gateway 50.0.0.50
ISDN Router NIC - 192.168.2.2 with gateway 192.168.2.1

Your help will be highly appreciated.

from experience, i know windows 98 only works with one NIC. it usualyy locks up with two or more. try a different OS.

Read the answer above 98 is not the best for any networking at all.
Two why are you using 50.0.0.x you should be using addresses in the private ip ranges.

10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255
169.254.0.0 through 169.254.255.255 (APIPA only)
172.16.0.0 through 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 through 192.168.255.25
