Why do some people from different parts of the United States have accents? Like if you are from Texas, Wisconsin, California. There is a certain accent that one may speak with. We all speak english (well most of us anyway....) so where does the accent come from?

When they were first turning in to civilized states of the USA different immigrants settled in different areas of the USA. They all had accents because some had to learn Indian languages or Engish.

Hi Y'aalll.I am in Alabama and I notice other people have accents.Further North or out West talk funny with their accents.
That's all I have to say about that.
