I have been a seconded Manager for 4.5 years and now I have been told the temporary management position is no longer available. I have to accept redundancy or return to my original position. Can this be correct or do I have a right after this period of time to a full contract?

Act fast to find another Managers position - then you can accept Redundancy & run ... i.e show the Company EXACTLY the same level of loyalty they are showing you ...

Most temporary positions are subject to the finding being available or whether the original post owner is returning to the job after illness or whatever. If you were aware that this is a temporary post, then you don't have a right to a permanent contract.
