The great thing about the Mavs is that they are a team. They can win with Dirk or without Dirk. Everyone participates and everyone has value. I believe that not only will the Mavs go to the finals I believe they will win the finals. The team learned a lot about themselves last year and have put it to use this year. The biggest thing they learned is to play as a team not just as a group of talented individuals. Go Mavs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the one above me... the Mavericks are the deepest team in the league, and everyone contributes to their victories. Though Dirk id the obvious leader, others like Jet, Stack, and Josh step up when neede. Like in their last game, Dirk was injured and Jet stepped up to secure their victory against Milwaukee. They have a good team, good coach, and they have improved a lot.

While Dirk is the obvious leader, it will be he and his supporting cast (who are better than last year) who will take them to the finals. And win.

he can as long as he has his supporting cast. their line-up is pretty much the same from last year and they even added three (one was traded) more experienced players. but watch out for san antonio. i fear them more than the suns. san antonio wins championships but not consecutively. they did not win last season so look for them to chase for it now.
