If they get infected, just keep them clean by using rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide twice a day. Claire's sells a bottled solution designed for that when you get your ears pierced. Have you decided where you are going to get your ears pierced? They would have products on sale for that purpose as well.

well you should be given a bottle of solutiont hat will help them heal quick and stop infection but if that doesn't work then i suggest Savlon, its an antiseptic it comes in sprays or creams. I prefer the spray I have had my ears peirced and i had no problem with them i have also had my tongue pierced. I'm also realated to a tattooist and piercer and know quite alot about piercings.

if you get them pierced good luck :) it barley hurts and im sure they will look super super cute on ya :) its always fun to get earings just remember that cheapie earings like from claires will probably make your ears all red and infected if ya have sensitive ears like me.. so get pure silver.. well they sell that at claires actually :) anyways if all goes to hell and they get infected put some peroxide on them with a cottonball soaked in it.. and let them air with no earings intact! then if it doesnt clear up.. go to the doctor... but hopefully that won't happen! good luck and just make sure to clean your ears a few times a week with peroxide or you can even buy ear cleaner I bought some at afterthoughts... k well good luck sweety~!

You avoid that by keeping them clean after you have them pierced.
Infection only occurs when you allow bacteria to enter the wound and reproduce. Use plenty of hydrogen peroxide. You'll be fine.
