a friend in one of my classes told me he was only able to get a small ring to print on the cd....i laughed and said i bet i could get mine to work easily....i had never tried it yet ( i really have no reason). anyways, i am trying it now and i can only get a small ring of printable space on the cd...i am thinking i need a special type of cd, but i was under the impression you could use any cdr/cdrw

yes you need special lightscribe cds that have a special coating on the sruface with allows you to burn an image to the surface of the cd.

of course, they are more expensive than the average cd.
