in this world, i am shocked and actuallty very upset i just sat down to read the papers i came across a story about a women who is suspected off chopping off her newborn son’s genitals in a fit of rage. The drug user claimed her pet miniature dachshund mutilated the seven-week-old tot as she slept.

But doctors — who are fighting to save his life after failing to re-attach his privates — said the injuries were not caused by an animal.

The baby also suffered a deep cut to his legs — and may never walk.

The mum, 25, who has not been named, refused to see cops after checking into a rehab centre in Houston, Texas, US. Officers are investigating.

what is going on and how can people do such things?

It is very sad allright - and not trying to defend the mother - but no one really knows what kind of problems a person could be experiencing to drive them to commit such a thing - post natal depression/schizophrenia/depression - I think its just a case of very sad circumstances that can sometimes cloud judgement on that persons part.
hopefully the baby will be ok though
xx

The world is full of sick people, you cannot let it get to you sweetie. As bad as it is for that little boy, he is safe now, and will probably never know what truly happened. Try to be happy for all the good things that happen, okay? xxxxx

Unfortunately there is evil in the world. There always has been. Some people are mentally ill. Either they don't know what they are doing is wrong or they do know it's wrong but have no conscience.

there are entirely too many sick people walking loose...the shame is the father had voiced concern the day before this happened but failed to act on his worries...too bad there isn't some way to identify people with severe mental and or societal problems and get them either treated or removed from possible targets...

She will probably get off with a couple years in the laughing academy like these mothers that kill or maim their kids usually do.
