Well I think they're harmful in a roundabout way; if you're driving and talking on the phone at the same time, you might just get into an accident!
I'm not a huge fan of cell phones.

I don't use them but when others do, in certain situations, they are harmful to both my mental and physical health. Example, those that are driving talking on the phone, not paying attention and almost run me down. If they did it would be painful and bugs the h3ll out of me.

No...the term is called junk science. My wife's father is an RF electronics engineer with a masters degree. He used to be a Vice President and Nokia and designed cell phone circuitry. I've posed this question to him many times. He said you get more EMF from the electrical wires running near your house than you would from a cell phone.
If people are really that paranoid, then can get a blue tooth ear piece and leave the phone on their belt clip. It just isn't something that we need to worry about.

When someone else is driving and using a cell phone, I consider that a hazard to my health and well-being.

Yes when people are talking and driving. I also think that cellphones cause us to not use our brain as much. I figured out a while back that it is hard to remember people's phone numbers by heart anymore since we have them stored in the phone and all that comes up when they call is their name. If you lose your phone you lose your contact unless you write it down.

Nothing for sure yet.
