To an extent, it's genetic. Recent studies have shown that apes demonstrate "empathy" and "altruism;" chimps that can't swim will dive into water to rescue a drowning chimp. Begins with acceptance and grows to appreciation and love.

We also need to recognize and rejoice in our differences.

We do not have to agree but we do need to respect other's views on religion or politics.

This is all very nice, but some dangerous and deadly people exist and we do need to protect ourselves and each other from them.

To be HUMAN is to have understanding.
That means we can put ourselves in their shoes...
To feel affection, we use our gentler emotions, we care & nurture to protect...
We shouldn't be existing, we should be living cheerfully!

Without understanding we become lesser life-forms, which some experts call: Human Animals.

Hope this helps!
