Old, aged, unfit and out of form players were selected in the name of experience.
It was very well known prior to such selection, that they were not consistent at all. In critical match, they failed again
and created pressure on others.
Unfortunately due to pampering, worshipping and giving more than necessary importance to such players everybody gets disheartened and trouble starts. We should learn not to depend on any body. each and every player should be able to cope up with all type of situations that may arise during the course of the match. This is why selectors can not escape from their responsibilities.

Yes, greg chapell didn't get the team he wanted and he sent this sms to a jouranlist on the eve of india -sl matich in the world cup. youngsters are given't a chance beacuse the selectors fear they will not perform well. they stick with only seniors.
Dinesh kaarthick is a very promising batsman and a potential leader and suresh raina is a must in the team and yuvraj thinks himself as a star when he is only a rising star.

The youngsters don't even get a chance these days. this will surely affect their confidence.
Greg should continue with a team he prefers.

experience is a great thing
but the young cricketers don't have much experience
I think if the old cricket players failed to perform then they should be out of team
and I think the BCCI Officials and selectors should not be sacked because they have chosen the best players who were very good but the players failed to perform
so selectors are not responsible for this bad performance

Who is going to sack them? BCCI is a private organization registered in Chennai. Do the citizens of a country have a say in sacking say a Reliance/Tata etc. board?

We can atmost have an opinion. BCCI will have to alter their decisions if we as passionate cricket fans take a stand not to contrubute to their growing cash. When business hurts, a corporation mends its way

players were selected based on their current form, experience,it is just that they did not gel together,it can happen to any team.cannot blame the selectors ,they have put faith on the best possible team.even coach is helpless as he id not playing in the middle,it is like a teacher teaching and a child writing an exam, not the time for blame game as kapil dev has rightly written in a news paper, time to re-coup and look ahead.

Yes the BCCI chief and officials, the selectors and the coach should all be sacked. They are not taking the responsibility, We must make them responsible and accountable, and show them the door.
Maybe also the captain should be changed.

I cannot accept karan view bcos you cannot simply takes as a game and say win or loss are part of the game. Then why we are spending crores of rupees on players when people are dying in hunger with that money we can do some thing to them. Just think for 5 mins............

THE BOARD ITSELF TO BE DISSOLVED AND THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA SHOULD IMPOSE CONDUCT RULES ON THE SELECTORS AND TEAM PLAYERS.THE PROFITS OR THE FUNDS ARE SPOILING THE ENTIRE GAME. IT IS NOT THE AGE, OUT OF FORM AND THE PROCEDURE ADOPTED BY THE OFFICIALS AND SELECTORS. IT IS THE ONLY FREE MONEY THAT IS BEING EARNED BY THE BOARD AND THE PLAYERS. GOD KNOWS ABOUT THE EARNING SOURCE FOR THE SELECTORS.

I personally feel that the team selected for the world cup was the best available. However, unfortunately they did not perform to their potential.
