Go into config and disable the wireless.

I did that and I've never had a problem.

Don't forget to change the admin password.

You should SET IT UP PROPERLY!

That's like saying "I'm sick of people stealing my car...can you tell me how to take the engine out?"

If you configure a wireless access point PROPERLY, then there should be NO way someone can hack into it. And, this means 1. setup encryption and access keys. 2. Use WEP or WPA 3. Don't broadcast your SID. 4. restrict access to only authorized MAC addresses (if practical).

FIX the problem. Don't bypass it. And, if you REALLY want to disable wireless, then go in the router and TURN IT OFF. Don't pull the antennas...

Yes.

In the router settings console you can disable the wireless broadcast. It is very simple and straightforward once you get in there.

To get into the console, you will need to type the router's generic IP address into a browser window. Then it will ask you for a user and password. For more information on the password, see your users manual.

From there, just look at the navigation bar and go to "wireless settings" or something to that effect.

There should be an option on that page to disable the broadcast.

Yes. You can log in to the router and disable the wireless radio. If you do this you will only be able to connect to the router through the etehrnet jacks.
