I don't know if the Rock graduated from the University of Miami, but he attended, and JBL is an investment whiz...
All in all, I think that the younger the wrestlers, the more book smart they are (as opposed to the bruisers of the 50's, 60's, and 70's)
Although, I also know that George "The Animal" Steele was a teacher...

I would say neither. If they were smart, they wouldn't be a professional wrestler in the first place. Unless, of course, all those moves and all those injuries have been faked all along. Certainly a true wrestler would probably have his brains scrambled halfway through his career, with all the pounding that he must endure. Just look at Muhammed Ali and others from the past. They wound up with the mental abilities of a 5 year old and with the symptoms of Parkinsonism by the time they were 50. Smart people don't do that to themselves for any amount of money.

Many are both. Some come from rough backgrounds and didn't graduate high school, while others are very intelligent. Many wrestlers have college degrees.
The Rock - graduated from the University of Miami in 1995 with dual degrees in criminology and physiology
Chris Jericho - has an associate's degree in journalism
Victoria - degree in biochemical engineering

I think they're mostly both. Many wrestlers have college degrees, and Randy was an all A student previous to joining the Marines. Not to mention, you have to have a backup plan if you get seriously injured.

Like others pointed out, it varies with the wrestlers. And I have no doubt that a few of them have both.
To use a few examples..
Triple H has bachelor in business economics and business administration.
JBL has weekly radio and TV shows where he does finance analasis. Has a degree in economics and works as a finance analasyst and stock trader. (And really is as filthy rich as he likes to brag about in the ring :P )
Vader has a master i business administration.
Rick Flair also has a degree in economics, and runs his own bank/mortage company.
Both Hogan and HBK doesn't have any formal higher education as far as I know, but both have the rights to their name and gimmick. Which means even if they get fired WWE has to pay millions to show anything with them in it. Which has to show they have quite a good head on their shoulders, if you ask me.
Maria, who seems like a utter and complete ditz on screen, works as a graphics designer for WWE as well and has made quite a few of the logos for WWE events.
For Randy Orton, since you mentioned him, I'm not sure if he has any higher education, as he started as a professional wrestler rather young. So if he did, I'd assume he did it on the side of wrestling, which has to taken a lot of work!

Depends on which one, everyone is different. Stone Cold is street smart, The Rock is book smart, ect, ect, it really has to be narrowed down to who the person is.
