back in my day, I remember in the state of California couples had to have their blood tested and check to make sure that this would not happen, I don't care if it the 3rd or 8th cousin I wouldn't marry them. Out here where I live you cannot it has to be the 4th cousin because in the 3rd blood line there is still the same blood dna. It just sounds really sick, family is family no matter how far the numbers go up.

Then he GOS back to Camilla and Larry's yet there toddlers haven't any blood traces or its develop into very skinny ??

Why would a person want to marry a relative even if it is a third cousin? My third cousins are like brothers and sisters to me.

Yes it is legal to marry your 3rd and 2nd cousin in LA. The only restriction in LA is first cousins. If you are 1st cousins then you must be related by adoption if you wish to marry in the state of LA.
All states in the USA allow for 2nd cousins and farther to marry. 1st cousin is the only one with laws against it, and the majority of states allow 1st cousin marriage in some form or another.
"Art. 90. Impediments of relationship

Acts 1987, No. 886,§ 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1988."
Fourth Degree of ancestry is Second cousin.

In that state, you could probably marry your sister! Sorry I shouldn't have said that. I think 3rd cousin is legal in all states.
