Im doing a practice paper and I wanted to know in your opinion, what influence music has on modern society?

Music is a great marketing tool. Look at commercials and television. A catchy tune can get you to pay attention to an advert for a product or show.

Music is also a trendsetter for fasion. It also created movements like "straightedge" and a lot of musicians promote vegan-ism. Music is also a powerful influence in political awareness.

With the music industry undergoing a huge facelift, it will be interesting to see how it continues to affect society.

i dont know but i know this. every song you hear can remind of another time you have heard it, so then it can kind of change your mood. you know what i mean. you hear bittersweet symphony and it reminds u of cruel intentions. or you hear a song from your teenage years and remember your first girlfriend or boyfriend. things like that. probably no help to your paper but oh well.
