Is the "right to bare arms", more important than ever before?

I haven't owned a weapon in a few years. I learned about shooting and safety in the USMC but never felt compelled to buy a gun.

Recently I've felt a need to own a weapon, not for terrorist, but from opportunist if there ever was a national emergency or breakdown in society.

Suddenly, the right to bare arms seems like a right I never considered really high on my list.

Without this right, only a criminal would have an advantage.

Has anyone else felt the need recently? Is it current events?

Man, it only takes one terrorist act to bring out the American opportunist and the home bread terrorist.

It is CRUCIAL that all AMERICANS should retain the right to bear arms. If you look around at all the misdemeanor like violations, such as making harassing phone calls....you will find that in many of these cases the gun rights are removed. EVEN for people who did it more innocently, like a man who got too drunk and called his ex wife three times too many in the middle of the night. I wonder how many of these have the removal (INDEFINITE removal may I remind you) to buy or own a gun!

I'm telling you, something is brewing here in the grand and so far removed history of our United States. Illegal check points, searches and seizures.....something is brewing and about ready to overflow! I think that many ppl have no idea who the real enemies are! YES, there are foreign terrorist who hate our western culture, but there is alot going on that we "citizens" are kept naive to.

HANG ON TO YOUR GUN BROTHER!, BC the day is coming when they will systematically remove ALL weaponry of self/family defense........even door to door I might add.

The Founding Fathers of this country had some keen insight in regards to the rights of citizens to protect themselves. They knew that the miltary or police could not always be counted on to do the job in every situation. So the individual was granted the right to bear arms, and rightly so.

Given the terrorist environment in this world today, and the open borders of the southern part of the United States, the threats are indeed real. The terrorists want to hit the American citizen personally. They want to take their violence to our city streets. In nations where the citizen is unarmed and cannot fight back, they become just victims. Here, we have the capability to fight back, and that is quite a deterrance. Terrorists know this. I believe it has a great deal to do with why we are not experiencing more terrorist attacks on this soil.

When your way of life is threatened, you tend to reflect on your liberties in this country that you would otherwise, unfortunately, take for granted.

I have always been a prepared person. It's not paranoia, it's being smart. You never know when there will be unrest, and it's better to be prepared now, then to try and do it when you are going to be hindered in doing so.

I had been utilising it for many years. Their packaging is a nightmare. If you're no longer very cautious you'll be able to quite simply lose the entire lot. I don't like their mascara and their lipsticks have that historic, odor to them. Lots of different organizations are making similarly well stuff and far less expensive. The CEO of naked escentuals, leslie Blodget has performed an overly well advertising task and it has made her very wealthy, despite the fact that I discover her reasonably shallow. So it isn't dangerous stuff however excess of priced. Trying purchasing it on ebay. You can get it so much less expensive than say QVC

And also im afraid that some day we might have to use our weapons against our goverment.they already took our right to our militas away(national guard) and now they are fedral controlled(originally governor controlled)were ment to fight fedral troops incase a revolution was needed now we are the revolutionary force.

Yes. You are going to need a gun when illegal aliens revolt.

In California, it is the wild west. Armed illegal aliens own the streets in many cities. They carry AK-47 machine guns. I have heard several times that police have left the scene to avoid being killed by illegal aliens. Illegal aliens know they can kill people and get away with it. They just run back to Mexico where they are never found. Los Angeles County "Most Wanted List" is filled with illegal aliens.
