well, i currently just bought a acer 5610 notebook with windows vista premium, and i have two problems with it. first, i cannot use msn on the system as dep pops up, and wont let me run without it. i see similar problems with other vista owners. Second, i would like to play WOW, but it will noy tun the mpq updates, they finish loading and then it tells me theres a problem and to uninstall and reinstall the game. So my question is, and i kind of know from owning a imac, will i be better off getting a macbook? I know it will run msn, and should run WOW, but will WOW be better on osx then vista? I need some answers soon as i only have 12 days to return the very acer laptop i bought, and exchange for a macbook.

I would keep vista because there is more software and support avalible for microsoft operating systems. It will be easier to get sovtware for vista. It is getting there but you should have left it 12 months after vista came out to get it because it lets bug fixes come out, new hardware drivers for things like printers to be released so that it is more compatible, Soon Vista will be compatible with most things just like XP is now, so hang in there

yes you may be better off with the mac (solid OS)
Vista is to new i would wait at least 12-18 months after any new product release from Microsoft before i would purchase it (unless you want to work for Microsoft with no pay for fixing all the bugs) your choice as a gamer is either XP or Mac ( Macs have limited games so make sure it will play all the games you will want to play now or in the future?)
