Yes. I have lost them all at one point. It took a lot of time, patience from my family and really me working through things in my own mind to come out of it. I have been at death's door and in deep depression, no confidence, no reason to live. I fought it and found some light in my life. It is always possible to make a comeback if you have faith and strength...and patience.

well...I've lost my confidence many times...in fact, I've lost my confidence as many times as I've gained some....huh?...let me explain: Usually I lose my confidence when things don't happen the way I want it to...or something bad happens to me. I guess a good and simple example is when I play basketball with my friends. I'm not that bad at shooting but some days I have days where I can try 50 times and not make a single one..whereas other days i can make every single shot...but on those bad days I try and after each miss I lose more confidence. One way for me to regain my confidence and stride is if I just keep my hopes up and believe that Im capable of better...or if im in a bad mood I think that everything happens for a reason and something good will always happen at the end...another way is if I actually make a 3-pointer all of a sudden........but that's likely not going to happen....(hope this answers your question.)

I came from an abusive home where not only dad abused me but my mum, grandma and uncle did as well. I lost all self-confidence and started to have high disregards for myself. These were followed by self-loathing. I spent 10-12 years trying to regain my self-confidence by praying and doing lots of meditative exercises. Another thing that comes into mind is to read positive thinking books and be around positive-minded people. These are the very people who would help you have a brighter outlook in life and say, "Hey, the world isn't all that dark afterall!" Whatever is the cause of your lack of self-confidence, I would suggest that you learn how to find the root cause of it and to learn to forgive or overcome it. It has helped me and I don't find myself struggling with a lack of self-confidence anymore. The reason as you asked why did I ever get it back? I wanted to regain my self-confidence again as I believe life is too short to be forever stumped by a lack of self-confidence.

Sure, this will happen to everyone many times in their lives, car accident, bad relationship breakup, betrayal by a friend, death of a loved one, losing a job...the list goes on and on.
You keep getting up and going through your day, you keep working and trying to make your life better and you get past it and move on and grow and learn. Life is just a series of knockdowns and recoveries.
