This is the age old question about communication; whether you are understood or how well you made yourself understood. Who cares what color the cat is as long as it catches mice? Some people are in a hurry, some people are disadvantaged and English is not everyone's 1st Language, especially the 'King's English'-some people are practicing and others merely being social. Each person must assume 100% of the responsibility of communication. Then there is the international Trade Language when pidgin English becomes legitimate if it answers the 'Question'. Schools out.

Why do you have to be so prissy about correct spelling or grammar? Are we in school or something?. It is true not all of the denizens here have English as their first language, and some do type very fast and does not bother to check their spelling. Let's just try to understand each other and be polite that is important not whether you know how to spell.

You should have wrote spelt instead of spelled for a start.
And some quotation marks wouldn't have gone amiss either.
Hmmm, how does that phrase go about the kettle and the pot again?

Bigger problems exist in the world than Yahoo spelling. I think spelling errors are fascinating. I saw these spellings of ostrich this week: ostridge, osterage, ostritch, and oscritch!
We don't see a lot of oscritches in the Midwest.

Hi...yes you are right...at least we should write in such a manner that the reader should understand the meaning....
people like me having English as third language may make mistakes since lack of proper words to express themselves and the spelling mistakes (spell checker is helpful)....but still i try my best that other persons will get what i try to tell ...i think we should use simple English to make communication better... still please forgive people like me .....Thanks to all :)

Also, did you ever notice that spell check will only check your question but not the details. Crazy huh?

Spell check can't catch some of the most common errors, such as there/their and your/you're.
