1980 - Halloween. But my favorite scary movie is 1991, "the silence of the lambs". Seven is the most under rated of scary films. There has been some good recent releases in this genre, "brothel" "Texas chainsaw the beginning".

Jaws, Omen, etc. but the 1980's was the worst.

I have to Say A Nightmare on Elm Street. I just thought is was a great movie that combined, in the words of Robert Englund, "fantasy, horror and surrealism."

Chopping Mall - where shopping can cost you and arm and a leg.

Synopsis- Park Plaza Mall has just installed a state-of-the-art security system, which includes three high-tech security robots.

Four young couples decide to have the wildest all-night party of their lives. They all stay after hours at the mall, drinking, partying, and having sex. It just so happens though that this is the night the security system malfunctions (due to several lightning strikes to the security computer). The robots then turn into killbots.

Might just be "The Lost Boys". I know, I know, not that scary (unless you count all those mullets!). But it's a really well done vampire flick that was way ahead of its time and I can watch it again and again. It also captured the 80's pop culture really well.

I can't really pick just one. Some of my favorites are The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2(very under rated),Re-Animator, Return of the Living Dead, Hellraiser, and Day of the Dead.

I like Nightmare On Elm Street. My favorite part is when Johnny Depp's character gets eaten by the bed. Hillarious.
