absoism reegny

it is for a freshman (hishschool) physical science class. I know that the second word word is "energy" but what is "absoism"??

My only guess was Biomass Energy. But i really dont know what that means, can briefly explain it to me? and if Biomass isnt correct (because honestly i'm making some wild guesses trying to get this figured out) then could you please either give me a hint/tip or just tell me what you think it is. Thanks, this is really bugging me.

You've got it... here is an article on biomass energy:

Biomass is basically waste. Biomass energy is energy created from waste.

Hope this helps!

biomass works. I went to an anagram server and
biomass works or it could represent the head of the energy department:

I think it's biomass, too

Biomass, in the energy production industry refers to living and recently living biological material which can be used as fuel or for industrial production. Most commonly biomass refers to plant matter grown for use as biofuel, but also includes plant or animal matter used for production of fibres, chemicals or heat. Biomass may also include biodegradable wastes that can be burnt as fuel. It excludes organic material which has been transformed by geological processes into substances such as coal or petroleum. It is usually measured by dry weight.

i'm guessing it also says biomass energy, so this is some info about it

ps: don't forget to choose me as best answer ;)

Biomass Energy
Biomass energy (bioenergy) is derived from organic matter. Wood is an example of a source of biomass energy. Other forms include: plants, residues from agriculture and forestry, municipal and industrial wastes, and methane and other gases from landfills. The use of biomass energy aids in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. While biomass releases about the same amount of carbon dioxide as fossil fuels, the net amount of carbon dioxide remains at zero if the growth of new plants reduces the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This “recycling” of carbon dioxide works if plants are grown for the purpose of collecting biomass energy. Such plants form part of a biomass feedstock and involve trees and grass that grow quickly.

ADVANTAGES
One way of doing this is getting energy from biomass with the following advantages.

Biomass is very abundant. It can be found on every square meter of the earth as seaweed, trees or dung.

It is easy to convert to a high energy portable fuel such as alcohol or gas.

It is cheap in contrast to the other energy sources.

Biomass production can often mean the restauration of waste land (e.g. deforested areas).

It may also use areas of unused agricultural land and provide jobs in rural communities.

If it is produced on a renewable basis using biomass energy does not result in a net cabon dioxide increase as plants absorb it when they grow.

It is very low in sulphur reducing the production of acid rain
