This is just a start, there are literally hundreds of more ways to get power.
Ive seen some very wild **** when people have money. There is a company in the chezc republic that will cast you an engine block out of this speical resin, (the ls1 block they made was 30lbs) it supposidly has a better wear resistance then cast iron.
I cant remember the name of the company, but they can also cast you turbo housings if you want to cut weight.

for under a 1000 the best thing is a set of tsw 5 spoke 195 ,50 ,15 , 60 mm springs,kn induction kit and a full service my advice remove the tints and get a full valet get 12 months mot and tax and you will have a sweet motor you will not have to do anything else

find yourself an older mazda 323 gt. you can score one fairly cheap and you get alot of premium components. d.o.h.c. intercooled turbo, all wheel drive, electronically adjustable suspension, all wheel disc brakes. i had an 88 model and was a blast to drive!!!!!!
