Our culture is after the confinement period which is 44 days. Normally you'll be asked to see your ob/gynae 1 month after birth. He'll check whether you're completely healed. If he gives you green light then go for it. I won't feel confident to do it without doctor's word cause I'm worried by doing it without completely healed might cause the vagina to be loose.

Yes it is 6 week after your first check up, but some women do not wait that long they go at it after 4 weeks.

My Ob/Gyn joked that that depended on whether you have a private or semi-private room in the hospital. I had five natural deliveries and I'd say 5-6 weeks is pretty average. You're both going to be so tired with a newborn at home you're probably going to just be glad to SLEEP! It'll come naturally enough.

Usally 6 weeks but did you have an episotomy or did you tear, you might wanna wait a little longer because of the stitching that you had, you are able to rip again and its painful im sure lol!

wait the whole 6 weeks that they tell you. And do remember that you are very fertile for some time after giving birth to a baby.

It is 6 week your doctor tells you this afterwards. They usually tell you to wait until after your check-up to have sex. Trust me u want to wait that long.

Better wait 6 weeks,if you do it too early you will
hurt your vagina,it takes that long for it to tighten back up from all that stretching to get the baby out, no matter what your boyfriend says to try to convince you otherwise.

6 weeks to be safe, but some people do sooner. The docs like you to wait for your 6 week followup. They do a pap at that visit too.
